Hunting in Cantabrian Mountains, Spain.
Found nestled in the northwestern corridor of Spain, the Cantabrian Mountains run parallel to the Cantabrian sea in the provinces of Leon, Asturias and Cantabria. Although they are not the highest mountains in Spain (the highest peak reaching 8,687 feet), they are steep, and require those who brave the terrain to be in excellent shape.
Pastures and streams meander through these rugged monuments of ancient limestone, forming idyllic feeding grounds for cattle. The wide and open terrain requires good physical health and shooting skills that can handle long distance shots, as the Chamois are small targets and difficult to get close to.
