Capra Pyrenaica Hispanica
Ronda’s isolation makes for a uniqueness not seen with the other Ibex types. Their density is low making it a prized and challenging trophy to obtain. The smallest type of Spanish ibex with the smallest horns. Overall color is a light brown. Typically, the horns grow upward in a V-shape, then backward with a spiral turn of only 90 degrees. Horn thickness is constant for half the length, then decreases gradually to the broomed tips.
Extremely steep, limestone mountains, reaching as high as 4,000 feet in elevation. The Ronda Mountain Range is located in the Malaga province and is approximately a 4-to-five-hour drive from Madrid and an hour and a half from Malaga.
